Lexx Models

I had mentioned that I'm a big Lexx fan, can't help it really as it's got a very dark humour, it's full of sexy women and if you like Kai, sexy men, whatever it's a Sifi show on it's own.

Now then the problem with Lexx was that the makers didn't release any merchandise licensing so evidently there was hardly anything for us Lexx fans to buy, yes a sound track CD, set of cards but nothing like a figurer, a toy that we could get our hands around, so that is why I've started to make my own Lexx things.

And this is one of them, It's a Kai - Last of the Brunnen G

Kai - Last of the Brunnen G bust was made out of Super Sculppey, it's the stuff that ILM make their maquettes out of, it's as soft and pliable as clay, it never drys out until you compleat the process, it takes detail and when you've finished your model you put it in the oven for 15min and it goes hard, you then can sand, carve or even drill it and it's chip resistant (should be a bloody salesman for it shouldn't I) it is fab stuff, then just paint it using acrylics.

The thing I liked about it, is you start the main shape out of foil.

Any hoo here's some work in progress up till now of Kai - Last of the Brunnen G

Work in progress.

I first took some foil and shaped it into what pose I wanted Kai to be in, I then inserted a long thin bolt up through the base up into the head to support the neck.

Only used heat resistant materials inside as once completed it will be baked in an oven for 15min.

Then Using Super Sculpey, covered the foil bit by bit building it up into the desired shape and then sculpted for about 7 hours up to this point.

More detail is added

Next process is to bake and paint, will post pics as I attempt that stage.

Very Happy Hi Ketana, nice of you to drop on by.

I never thought about Kai's weapon Shocked that sounds rude Laughing but yes his weapon,  Twisted Evil  think after I've finished my animated puppet  film I might just do that but! I think I will make it 1/1 scale, life size one would be good Cool  Cool  Cool

Nice to see some of the others have already welcomed you to the forum, I might start talking a bit more Lexx now. I did have a Lex night and invited some of the people off the forum, we managed the first two movies before getting to pissed to watch anymore, but I do know that oddbodd did visit the Lex forum after that, so he must have enjoyed it. Very Happy

Greetings Ketana, sorry Im not a Lexx fan but have watched the odd episode and find the actress (Xenia Seeberg) who plays Xev very sexy in an alien sort of way.
