The Omen (2006)
Blimey....... They've gone and made a remake of The Omen, must admit I liked the other original three movies, guess it’s the little devil inside of me.
Any hoo the story looks like it’s going to be more of the same just more artistically shot and no doubt better special effects. I do like the trailer though, it creates a somewhat weird build up, hope the movie lives up to the feeling I get from it.
Tagline: His Day Will Come
Plot Outline: A remake of the 1976 horror classic The Omen (1976), an American official realizes that his young son may literally be the devil incarnate.
I've got a birthmark in the shape of a dog on my butt if that counts I remember finding out about the 666 thing and using a permanent marker to draw some on my head Mum went off on one of her yelling fits and my dad just said he was disappointed in me for putting them on the wrong way.... they looked ok to me when I looked in the mirror _________________

If your dad was disappointed - perhaps you are the spawn of Satan. You definitely have an evil streak, anyway _________________ "It's ok to be different, it's good to be different, and we should question ourselves before we judge others." -- Johnny Depp
What the...?? Another good film spoilt by being remade. When will Hollywood learn? We need to go over and pitch some of our ideas Carl. Can't believe they doing this. Let's take bets on the next remake.
What happened to Pt. 5? They did a fourth setting it all up again. Wouldn't be surprise if the remake continues from it.
Bet you watched the trailler for that release date Oddbodd. It's on the trailer that's being release on 6/6/06.
Bet Jonny's more like Problem Child or Chucky!
Watched the remake of the Fog and was most disappointed. The ending was daft!

"The Fog" 1980 is one of the very few real scary movies, the remake sounds terrible. _________________

No. It was just highly predictable. Besides, I can't really watch trailers htese days cos someone sold me a PC with as much memory as Dory out of Finding Nemo.
I've known for ages that the date 6/6/6 was going to turn up, it was obvious that somebody was going to try and exploit it. It's just a shame that Microsoft aren't releasing their next version of Windows that day, it'd make so much sense.

Wolf, the remake of The Fog isn't as good as the original. Certainly not scary. It's quite different too. The effects are good and acting isn't bad either but the way they tell the story isn't as good.
As for your computer Oddbodd, if your computer has little memory, then get more. That's what happens when you buy off dodgy sales people.
Got round to seeing this last Friday. It's very similar to the original, mostly only changed to update it a little, and the slice-the-fella's-head off scene is done differently, although still nice and gory, with a bit of a Final Destination feel to it. It has the same sort of plot holes in it - like the priests not just kill the evil kid in the first place, and the woman being too thick to realise that standing on a chair next to a high-up balcony isn't a good idea. It's worth watching, though, 'cos it's got Julia Stiles in.
Speaking of which, Philster, she's not in Swimfan. I checked on IMDB

I also managed to get to see the remake of the Omen and that's what it is, a complete remake. I liked the original and I like this one but the story's are nearly identical, only difference is more shots per scene, better special effects and slightly better photography. There are still things I liked more about the original and things in this one which were improved upon, due to new movie making techniques... not much to say really as I felt I was watching the same movie.
