Hayao Miyazaki's (director of Oscar award winning anime, Spirited Away) latest masterpiece has finally made it onto our little Island. Its an adaptation of the English novel "Howl's moving castle" by Diana Wynne Jones. This guy has yet to make a bad movie IMHO so I know it will be worth going to see.

I believe UGC/Cineworld are showing it in a number of their cinemas not sure about anywhere else.

Here's the official website

and this site has a good synopsis

Went to see Howl's Moving Castle today, its a beautiful film to look at, the colours are wonderful and the characters are amazing. I've never taken hallucinogenic drugs before, so I can only imagine from what people say of what the effects are and the things they see, this is just my comparison to the look and feel of this animated movie.

There are some amazing uses of a door that I liked very much and think if the Tardis implemented them, it would make it even better, if you see the movie you will know what I'm on about.

They also did a good job of the dub.

(I want a walking Castle)

Yeah, it wasn't his best work but is still a great film.
I personally thing his best movie was "My Neighbour Totoro".
