I was talking about Jules the other day and promised to put up the link.
It's very creepy and thought - provoking where are we heading with artificial Intelligence, because when you see this, we are at this moment in the realms of science fiction and truthfully at a turning point that if we F*** an artificial life form off one day, just like Terminator it'll come back and bite us in the butt, to be truthful 2030 as in Terminator looks to be a true time frame.
Point about Jules... it's not his look, it's the thought processes that go on behind the facade that make me get all creeped out, the physical movements do add but it's the things he says that have the most impact.
There are also several other Jules video diaries, this other in particular is the day before he is to leave and it's scary how he is feeling about leaving his friends.
Any hoo the company Hanson Robotics are producing some amazing interactive ...... things ! as I can't use the word toys, as when you watch this this ain't a toy it's very scary believe me.
As you watch Zeno you'll see some of the interactive characteristics as the teddy bear had in AI the film. CREEEEEEEEEEEEEPIY
Btw that last link, the robot shown won, its targeting system is very much like the Terminator video target system we have come to love over the years.

Big Dog.
This will really creep you out, they call it Big Dog but it sound and looks like an insect, yak ! icky. I would Sh** my pants if that thing was chasing me.
This looks a cool idea, UNTILL you think of it's applications.
Imagine a fleet of harmless looking Herbie Vauxwagon or a Mr Bean three wheeler going into a potential hostile environment, they wouldn't attract much reaction, that is until they've transformed into ultimate killing machines.
And speaking of the teddy from AI film, these cats are very similar.
