Well got my first review of the movie today and I hope all of them are like that. Robert DeNiro's Eyes is a nice person, anyone else would probably have ripped it to shreds.
Dave (RDE) is one of the first crew members to work on the movie and he really does understand all the limitations and problems we have had to overcome to compleat it. So whatever anyone else thinks of it, I will always keep in my heart that he liked it and that means a lot to me... no disrespect to everyone else I know, but Dave is one of the cleverest people I have ever met, knows his stuff does Dave.
Robert DeNiro's Eyes
Err, well... Thanks Carl, but really I just try to help out, your the clever one believe me
Ok, I feel obliged to give a mini review here of Dark Dreams.
*Possible Spoiler*
Just finished watching Dark Dreams, I am speechless, really a fantastic job, my god the mix of visual styles work fantastic with some great effects, the music well its very atmospheric and works really well. Those dream sequence and flashbacks were excellent and the story telling was perfect, with feeling.. The credits are first class with a great song that just puts a feather in the cap for completness.
Do you know when it finished I could not believe it, I was really getting into it and the story was just unfolding when it had to finish, the 40 minutes or so felt like a great episode of LOST what with the flashbacks and the abrupt ending, except Carl Had this story sussed years before LOST!!
But.. one small niggle, now dont take this wrong it could be just me or my TV but I did find it hard to understand Lord Akrafa (too much Echo) and had to really concentrate on what was been said. but hey its a mild observation, please dont let it put a damper on all the other great things in this movie.
You cant leave it another 10 years for the rest... you do have the footage dont you?
But really, great work you should be proud.
Finally, I really do wish I could turn the clock back and be more involved in this production.
