Halloween 2007Well another remake dons our very presence. When I heard this was being remade, I freaked as I am a fan of the original and thought they would kill it. Boy was I right.
After the first 10 minutes, I nearly switched off. The amount of swearing in it makes Eddie Murphy look tame! For those of you that don't know the story, what planet are you from! Young Michael Myers is institutionalised due to murdering his sister. Years later he escapes and starts a killing sprea with local teenagers. The only positive thing I could find about this is that it attempts to fill in the story why Michael becomes the way he is. Even Malcolm McDowell couldn't rescue it as Dr Loomis! I like him as an actor but he killed the part which was originally played the late Donald Pleasance. However, it was nice to see a link with Daneille Harris who appeared in Halloween 4 and 5. My how she has grown.
If you get the chance, don't see it. Watch the original; it's much better.

very amusing. Just one thing : as the verse is to the tune of the Wild Rover, why didn't they sing the chorus to the tune of the chorus of WR? It would fit : "He's a kno-o-o-o-ock - o-o-o-off - Nigel" (clap clap clap clap) etc.
