Was John's make up based on a Zombie, it's just when I looked at the latex appliances being applied, he looks similar to some photographs I've seen in many Zombi movie books.

Yes.

John Slater the person responsible for the Evil father's make up is a big Tom Savini fan. When he showed me the eight designs that he had done, I knew he wanted me to pick the one similar to a Zombi. The other designs were very good, one was like a Neanderthal Man. The others were very interesting but I liked a Nomadic person, worn away with the weather looking slightly Zombi and it was a great design as the Father needed to look scary for the dream sequence and he didn't need to much help with those features.

You know, my sister thought you were good looking, so I must be implying with the make up, funny thing is she thought you were Italian and not from the North East of England. I suppose spending as many years in Italy as you have, has had some effect.
You can rest assured, you were scary with the make up on, HONEST ?.
