MallratsMy favourite of the View Askew (aka Jay & Silent Bob) films. The second in the series was the first to star a number of Kevin Smith's regular partners in crime - Ben Affleck, Joey Lauren Adams, Jason Lee and Ethan Suplee. Also present are Brian O'Haloran and Jason Mewes as well as Smith himself - the only three to have been in all six movies (as far as I can recall).
The film is based around Slackers TS Quint and Brodie Bruce (Jason Lee). Sharp-eyed film buffs out there will notice that Quint and Brodie are names taken from Jaws - one of a few references in the film to Spielberg's seminal creature feature. Both are dumped by their respective girlfriends (Shannen Doherty and Claire Forlani) on the same morning - so decide to console themselves by hanging around the local mall, both with different ideas of how to reconcile themselves with their exes. The film boasts a number of quality one liners and in-jokes that are symbolic of films in the View Askewniverse. The cast also includes Michael Rooker, priscilla Barnes and Renée Humphrey and comic book God Stan Lee.
