Pushing Daisies.Pushing Daisies.
Have to say this is a stunning looking TV show, it reminds me so much of Tim Burton's Big Fish in style, look , narrative and the stories fantasy elements. It's so well shot that if this is a long term series how can they maintain the quality, the lighting and framing of so many shots, those type of setups take a long time to achieve and it even has various types of animation thrown in for good measure. 
Time will tell as this info I found might have an effect on future shows. Pushing Daisies premiered on April 12, 2008 in the UK and aired on Saturday nights at 9:00PM. Due to the 2007-08 Writers Guild of America strike, the show completed only nine episodes of its order of a full 22-episode season. Nine shows are better than nothing but if it has to wait for the new episodes to be written, the show could fail before it's had time to establishes itself. Watch this space. |
