RehearsalsRehearsals.
Yes I know I said "The Tree" and "Lord Akrifa" were coming next to the official web page but they are taking a bit to write, so next week they will start to go up.
This week.... Rehearsals for the movie and how important they were.

We will forgive you Carl we can see you have been busy visiting new forums again, first Kong is King and now Dr Who what's going on who knows where else you have been, I will write under the Cyberman photograph what I think of your Dr Who V ST , but first the rehearsals aspect.
I'm thinking about making my own Zombie movie for fun, but I still want it to be good and I want to get the best out of the actors I can... well none of them will be actors just friends , they are all mostly going to play Zombies with the exception of two people who will not be Zombies, so to speak. I’m going to rehearse the two normal people but I’m unsure if I should get everyone around to rehearse being Zombies, I know what you said about how important it is for rehearsals but if I get my friends there once and they feel daft without make up pretending to be Zombies, they may not turn up the next time for the shoot.
What would you do

I would rehearse your two main actors and tell all your friends, who are going to play Zombies, to watch a Zombie movie and practise at home.
If some of your friends don’t have any Zombie movies, let them borrow one of yours, that way when they turn up on the day of the shoot, they would have developed a Zombie character all of their own and will not be replicating the person next to them, even Zombies have their own characteristics.
The rest you will have to direct on the day, just enjoy it.

I going to postpone making my movie until mid next year, as one of my main actors (friends) has changed her mind and most of my other so called friends don’t want to play Zombies, bet if I was George A. Romero they wouldn't turn me down.

SorrySorry to hear your friends (let you down) it's terrible that they are restraining your artistic juices, you know what to do when you finally get it made without them and it's getting loads of attention and they then want to be part of it , tell them where to go........
It's always difficult working with friends instead of actors. You are relying on people who sometimes do not understand what your movie means to you... thats why if you do have some budget, pay your (friends) a little bit to give them some kind of incentive, that way they should turn up on time and do what is needed.
I was lucky, most of my friends shared my vision.
