When I was little I would watch season three of a Sci-Fi show called Survivors, it would fill my young mind with loads of scenarios of how I would survive in similar circumstances etc.

The first original season was made in 1975 and was wrote by Terry Nation.

Over the last few years I managed to get season one and two and I wasn't disappointed, the story still worked and grabbed you.

I often said they should remake it and sure enough the BBC must have heard me,

A new series starts at the end of the end of November and there are some good actors in place to thrill us ....... more info and pic.

The chilling Survivors – a big viewing success when launched in 1975 and which went on to become a cult show – has been remade with a cast including Julie Graham, Max Beesley and Freema Agyeman. The new six-part series is currently scheduled to go out at the end of November with a 90-minute opener.

The story follows the survivors of a mysterious plague that has wiped out 95 percent of the population, exploring their attempts to cope with the breakdown of order and the battle for food and water. The irresistible challenge the original series for viewers was, how would you cope with no police, no electricity, no technology and the loss of loved ones and friends?

A must watch if it's as good as the original.

Been wanting to have a gripe about the new series of Survivors for a few weeks, but never found the time. But now is the time!

OK.... everyone knows I'm very easy going when it comes to films and TV shows and as long as a bit of thought has gone into something, that usually pleases me.

HAVE THEY PUT ANY THOUGHT INTO THE NEW SERIES OF SURVIVORS..................... NO !

I think truthfully it's been wrote by a bunch of morons who just don't get it and don't understand whats around them.
The old series completely got it and didn't make the same mistakes, also I must admit quantity of products and goods are more abundant than they were in the older series, but this could have been taken into consideration when writing it.

A list of some of the stupid things....

1 In the old series and in the new.. People died in their cars, so in the old series the cars were everywhere, blocking the motorways and roads, hence making it difficult to travel except via country roads and canals. In the new series the roads and motorways are completely empty, no cars or dead people, so in other words you can go wherever you like and drive whatever you like, so a big truck or several would not be a problem, you could travel anywhere and get what you wanted.

2. No electricity..... yes in the old series generators were harder to come by, but now I just have to pick up the latest Argos catalogue or go to any DIY store and I'm spoilt for choice, they are all over the place as are solar pannels and with all the supposed cars that they talk about, but like I've said, we never see, they would be able to siphon off the petrol to run them. If the generators run off diesel, then they could use cooking oil, which we see plenty of when they are out ferriaging in large supermarkets full of food and things etc.... In fact one person goes to a Garden / DIY store and pick up a wooden Wendy house for the chickens. Does he think to bringing back a generator ? ........ NO

3. They find a gigantic warehouse full of food and everything else but a gang force them to leave it ! Again the roads are clear so finding another shouldn't be a problem, just like before go into another shop look at the stock receipts and find out where it is.

4. People, or should I say supposed lack of people.... In the old series only 2% of people around the world were supposed to survive. They mention 5% in the new show but change it as the hidden scientists do their math again etc .......BUT this is not the case, in the old show it was an event to see people turn up ! In the new series they are everywhere, go into a shop a person pops out, go into any house , BOO! SHOCK! another person is there, every blinking where you go there are people, have they forgot why this show is called... SURVIVORS...... not the IN CROWD or A LOT OF PEOPLE SHOW ............. what have they done to one of my favourtist old TV show.

I could go on listing things, that with just a bit of thought and a bit of writing could have been sorted out and this show like the old one could have been good and entertaining, but instead it just doesn't work at all.

If you've seen it leave your grips and comments as I know for definite everyone who sees it will have them.

I dont watch the show but outstanding observations never the less.

One thing if people die, why didnt the chickens? sorry dont ask me to view the show, not a chance of that.
