I'm pleased you all liked it, it makes all the effort worth while. I maybe be skint after making the movie but I'm happy. This will answer Jonny's question, the people who worked on it with me will tell you we didn’t have hardly two brass farthings to rub together to make the movie, Ray Harryhausen the person behind Jason and the Argonauts uses a line a lot in his talks about his movie making, he always says, “for what his movies cost to make, you could not buy one costume today, for the same amount”, and I feel the same way when I look at the poster section in Movies Online , I see my movie poster beside the Willie Wonka movie poster and look at the top hat Willie Wonka is wearing and think, that hat probably cost more than my whole film cost to make and it probably did. http://www.moviesonline.ca/movie_pic.php?id=2524 But I must say where I made up for the lack of cash was like in The Shawshank Redemption, I just kept chipping away and on my journey I happened to meet some talented and very helpful people, whom most of them I became good friends with. They will tell you how most of the movie was filmed and the lack of everything we had. I kept saying, I was waiting for technology to catch up and the reason for this was because, in the beginning the equipment was so low tech I needed to do something drastic too the footage to save it and where I couldn't I changed it, there was also that learning curve to get over as with everything. For me the movie still needs a lot of work and if I could do it again there would be a lot of changes and one of them would be a proper budget. The last few scenes shot using digital technology were so enjoyable to do but all the early stuff filmed on video was a nightmare, every frame was worked on to try and bring out the best and it is still lacking but I did what I could with what I had. Some of the compositing done in the early shoots was a nightmare to composite, the lighting was all set up for Chroma Key and that is different to lighting set ups for Blue or Green screen compositing. I gave out some frames to some very competent compositors using very sophisticated programs like Combustion and they couldn't composite it, but like I've said on the web page, when this happens all you can do is knuckle down and think of other alternatives and get stuck in and do your best. I managed to win over where they had not but that just means instead of spending say one week on one shot I took 20 weeks. So when the trailer goes online properly in Nov. I will see what the response is and hopefully start mass duplication of the DVD. |

Wow Carl, very impressed with the trailer and just as Jonny said it does look like you did have a large budget to make it, wonder what will your next movie look like .
Speaking of your next movie hint, hint, still think of me for the costumes and I promise to start being more serious and not wind you know who up....Well maybe! |

Got to admit to being a little curious to see what the "nice" Piper is like though. Of course its not going to stop "me" winding her up, its too much fun

Just to let everyone know, I have also added a medium res streaming trailer, the beauty of this new addition is you can play the trailer full screen, it's best to let it load first before watching it full screen as the sound doesn't sink up on the download, but once loaded in your cash it plays full screen know problem.
