Werewolf of LondonAnother of Universal's early horror movies, this was quite different to the more famous Wolfman, and I find it difficult to work out which I actually prefer. It's done on a different premise - the werewolf is a Himalayan monster, rather than a travelling gypsy. Our protagonist is played ably by Henry Hull, who didn't achieve quite the cult status of Lon Chaney Jr.
It's quite enjoyable for those who like these early monster movies - particularly for the very humorous drunken old women, and the appearance of Valerie Hobson - who's pretty damn cute. Shame this was filmed in the thirties, and that she's somewhat dead now.
