Have I called others gay? Possibly. Not that I can remember. But a number of people on this forum are friends in real life, and I'd get away with that with those people in particular (and they'd get away with calling me gay, so that goes both ways [no pun intended]).
I know a lot about them because I realise that they form a substantial fraction of society, and I don't ignore them like many people do (even unconciously). i have gay friends, I've been to gay pubs, I haven't shirked off seeing a movie just because there's gay stuff in it, like a lot of people, especially blokes, will often be tempted to do. It gives me a better understanding of this particular section of humaity, and helps me to feel more comfortable around them, and treat them more like I'd treat straight people.

Just to agree with Oddbodd, I don't like being called gay when I'm not. Nothing against them, personally but I have bad experiences of being accused I won't go into.
I think you need to be careful what you say to people. Don't mind being called a c*** though because I can be in a funny way.
Me and a few friends went away to Canada. What a beautiful place! We went from Toronto across to the west coast and Vancouver by train stopping in Calgary a couple of nights.

But I'm slightly nervous when it comes to flying and even more so since the terrorist campaign, I suppose when your times up.... although I wouldn't stand in the middle of the road to test that theory

I'm actually going to agree fully with what TNC said there. The aim of terrorism isn't the short term shock and awe of an explosion of a plane, train, bus or whatever. It's also to corrupt the common sensibilities of the population and frighten them into acting in such a way that will affect day to day life. While some changes have to be made in light of such actions (the new security precautions at airports, for example), the general population should not prevent this from stopping them from going about their business or enjoying themselves as much as they'd ordinarily wish to.
