Hi Carl,

I finally got to see WSOT last night. What can I say? Brilliant, well done, fantastic, congratulations! Like Dave (RDE) I was left wanting to see more, the 48 minutes or so seemed to pass in an instant, and that is the mark of a truly entertaining piece of work. The music is wonderful, the look of the film is amazing (can't believe that some of those shots were done on VHS) - the cinematography had a kind of ethereal quality (reminded me of the Singing Linging tree) and that fitted the subject matter magnificiently!

Please don't think you or anyone else think that I am just saying these things because I am your friend. That is not the case... you know me, if I think something is c*** I have no problem saying it. You have a piece or work that you should be proud of. I really hope that this film gets you some funding so that you can make the full version of the script.

Anyone who wants to see what can be done with a tiny budget a load of determination and a huge amount of talent should buy this DVD.

Well done Carl.

Best

John

q38 q22 Cheers John,

I was crapping bricks that you would say you didn't like it, cos I do know, as you said, if you didn't you would have told me.

Yes funds were very limited but where I lacked in funds and technology, I just tried to make it up with everything else that I could do. Did panic when I saw all the new Lord Of The Rings movies coming out but what the hell they spent over 300 million and I spent (in Ray Harryhausen words) "what one of their costumes would probably have cost to make the entire film".

Thanks again John for the review, of which I 'm going to start adding to the official web page.
