Simply, whats yours, Im sure there are many but maybe give 10 you like?
Mine are in no particular order and off the top of my head, maybe dont have the exact name either.

Gladiator - The Battle
Conan The Barbarian - Main
Conan The Barbarian - The Orgy (inspired by Basil Poledorous daughter)
Lord Of The Rings - The Breaking Of The Fellowship
Titanic - Intrumental version
Star Wars
The Chronicles of Riddick
This was tougher to type than I thought, no doubt I've missed a few lesser known gems and some soundtracks just have a small piece in that rocks your boat sometimes.

It is infinite the amount of film music that has either effected, influenced or just made me say,” that’s a dam good sound track”. When I was a kid the theme from Superman always worked for me, Star Wars, Yoda theme was also a very powerful piece of music, as was ET and as RDE and Nige said Titanic & Highlander soundtracks both stir strong emotions of which are very powerful.
The end song from Troy, Remember Me, performed by Josh Groban, is an amazing piece of music.
If you listened to what Achilles Mother says to him and the whole premiss of the movie and story, this song tells the whole story of immortality and fame, or the story or a warrior wanting to live forever.
If you haven’t heard the end song from Troy, you first must watch the movie, then when you have you will understand the song, if you did understand it, it will make you think about your own destiny and future.... the song is that powerful. _________________ http://www.withintheshadowofthetree.com/

I agree, music is such a powerful tool, I don't think any of the movies I have listed would have worked half as good without musical accompaniment.

Anyone else spot a trend in those movies? I'm not talking about the music either.
Can't say I'm surprised by the list. I'm guessing you've found ideal role models in all of them.
To put things slightly back onto topic.
There are some fantastic soundtracks in Japanese cinema, especially anime.
Akira has some amazing music
Most of Miyazaki's work has some of the most beaitifully mellow tracks I've ever heard.
If you go into TV series and OAV you've also got the likes of
Macross Plus and Bubble Gum Crisis.
In some ways anime makes more use of music than most other genres. For instance the original Macross series is pretty much based on the premis of a young girl who becomes a popular singer and ends up saving the world because of the effect her music has on the aliens attacking them. That idea is followed through most of the Macross spin offs as well.
One of the main Characters in Bubble Gum Crisis is the lead singer for a rock band (Priss and the Replicants, no prizes for guessing which movie they got that from) who's music is used throughout the series.
