(Credited cast)

Bill Murray ... (voice)

George Clooney ... Mr. Fox (voice)

Cate Blanchett ... Mrs. Fox (voice)

Jason Schwartzman

Anjelica Huston

Tuffy Questell .

Finally Roald Dahl's story, The Fantastic Mr Fox is to be made into a film. Presumably because it says (voice) beside most of the actors, we can presume it's an animated movie ?? Unless George Clooney and the other actors are CG and it's live action and CG characters combined ????? When I find out more I'll post but I'm still happy it's been made as I'm a huge Roald Dahl fan. Very Happy

I like the idea of this.  Roald Dahl has always been among my most favoured writers, for both adults' and children's literature.  His books for children have always broken the mould in that they've had a more macabre, honest edge to them, instead of being all sugary with everything turning out lovely in the end.  They really pique a child's imagination - most chidlren, I think prefer to read dark and disgusting stuff; it's just good fun.

Bill Murray is sure to add something good to the prodeuction.  I see that Angelica Houston has also been cast, having previously played the Grand High Witch in the film adaptation of The Witches (without doubt my fave Dahl book).

Very Happy  Cool Totally agree, he's one of my favorite writers as well.

In fact compared to any other author, I've read more of his books than any other. My favorite story is and always will be Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Movie adaptations including the recent, which was fantastic, still haven't come close to the mood and ideas that the story conjures up in my imagination.

I haven't got over the creepy feeling while reading the book when they all walk into a room with cubes  and they all look round, how clever is that.

The follow up Charlie and the The Great Glass Elavator is so spooky. If you have read it, when they go to the world before you are born and then there is something nasty in the lifts.....The Vermicious Knids.... what an amazing name for something horrible (LOL)  COOOOOOOOL writer he was, old RD.  Very Happy
