North East Telly Net in partnership with Northern Film & Media invite you to Meet the Producers – the second in our two-part series What Commissioners Want. The event will see key producers Steve Bailey (Mentorn), Katie Baylis (Century Films), Gill Isles (Baby Cow) and Matthew Telfer (Lime Pictures) visit the region to share their experiences and hear pitches direct from north eastern talent. Meet the Producers takes place on Wednesday 29 October at Northumbria University in Newcastle (2pm).

‘Meet the Producers’ will begin with a 1-hour panel session, open to all, when the producers will talk about their own development slates, production portfolios and experiences of pitching. The panel session will be followed by a chance to pitch your drama, Carlcomedy and factual ideas for the producers’ invaluable feedback and advice. This will also be your chance to win their co-production interest – if you can!

This is an exciting and rare chance to talk to some of the UK's leading independent network producers. We expect an overwhelming response and so to help the producers chose which pitches they should hear you’ll need to send us:
· a proposal (no more than one side of A4 please),
· a brief statement about you/your company and what you’ve done (half a side of A4).

All ideas must be submitted to Telly Net by email (event@northeasttellynet.co.uk) no later than 24 October; they will then be passed to the producers. Those chosen to pitch will be contacted prior to the event. All submissions will of course be treated in confidence.

Whether you want to pitch or just come along to the panel you must RSVP (event@northeasttellynet.co.uk), again no later than 24 October. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Meet the Producers will take place in the Lipman Building, Northumbria University, Sandyford Rd, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, NE1 8ST.
