I noticed the sequel to Underworld....Underworld: Evolution is going to be released next year. I enjoyed the first one very much it had lots of style and an interesting story angle, Werwolf's and Vampire's, an ongoing war with each other, a great idea.

I think most people prefer Vampire's to Werewolf's, considering at Halloween fancy dress party's most people prefer to go as a Vampire and not a Werewolf. I don't know if it's because people find them erotic or just a morbid fantasy curiosity to the fact that they must have total control over their victim before feeding off them.

I personally prefer Werewolf's, you can only feel sorry for them considering they have no control over their Lycanthrope urges, unlike a vampire who has the choice to get his blood from the blood bank.

I only know of a few people that like Werewolf's and that’s why I brought up this point. The Underworld movies are in my opinion good but bias in the fact that the majority of people prefer Vampire's to Werewolf's, so it is inevitable more people want the Vampires to win over the Werewolf's, even though they are evil themselves.

So a little poll A or B Vampire’s or Werewolf's which do you prefer.

Wow, I'm shocked, you're actually talking about a movie Razz, or are you Question You are such a crafty litte minx, I know what you are up to.

But as long as you are on the subject of Vampire's & Werewolf's, I'm also looking forward to Underworld: Evolution. I do agree that most people do prefer Vampire's but my namesake lets you know which I prefer.

Gotta say its the Vamps that get my vote.

Personally I just find vampires more interesting. After all a werewolf pretty much just goes out and kills people for food. Vampires have a bit more finess about them. They're cunning, charming, intelligent as well as being totally evil. Also depending which vampire myth you follow they have their hypnotic powers and others. Yes there are a lot of sexual connotations with a lot of the vampire stories which just add extra spice.

Got to admit I was dissapointed with Underworld. They'ed watered down the vamp so that they ended up little more than strong humans with pointy teeth. Granted certain ones did have very nice shiney bottoms but even that wasn't enough to keep it interesting in my opinion. At the end of the day a werewolf would't really stand a chance against a proper vamp. So the ones in underworld had to be weakend to make the story work.

If you want a more interesting take on the whole vampire/lycnathrope juxtaposition try Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series. The first 8 are excellent. They're are set in a world where vampires and werewolves are just another part of society and the supernatural is real and visible. She does a very good job to making the vampires out to be pretty much the most dangerous thing your ever likely to meet. Also the relationships between the vamps and were-creatures are a lot more interesting. Now if they did a movie based on those books I'd definatley go and see them.

Unfortunately after about the 9th book she gets a bit obsessed with sex which pretty much destroys the story.

One last thing, I'm guessing the main reason more people dress up as vamps than werewolves is more likely down to money and convenience. Its easy and cheap to dress as a vamp, a lot more tricky to get a werewolf costume and I'd imagine a lot more uncomfortable to wear after a while.
