I think at least 7 out 10 of every movies that I have really enjoyed, JOHN WILLIAMS did the music for them.
I also think he did about 6 of the top ten movies that earned more than any other movie, you might have to correct me on that but it's close I think.
A lot of people after Jaws & Star Wars grew up with his music ,even if they did know who he was, they just watched of all these cool movies and came away whistling or humming one of the tunes from the movie for weeks without giving him a thought. If you think about it, there are a lot of the movies that might not have worked if he and not stamped his mark on them.
Good choice for first movie composer to talk about.
The link is very good, watching him conduct some of my favourite music is amazing. _________________ Sylvester
John Williams is a genius.
Was watching the extra's on the Indiana Jones DVD's the other week and they were talking with Spielberg. Apparently JW had approached him with 2 options for the Indie theme tune. Spielberg listened to them and said "can we not use both of them?".
Thats exactly what he did..
